Last year, the Colts did a great job of filling the hole created by the departure of running back Edgerrin James by landing Joseph Addai in round one.

This year, running back Dominic Rhodes is gone.  And so is linebacker Cato June and receiver Brandon Stokley and cornerback Nick Harper and cornerback Jason David and safety Mike Doss and defensive tackle Montae Reagor.

That's a lot of needs that need to be addressed.

1.  Outside linebacker:  They need someone to replace Cato June. 

2.  Cornerback:  They need replacements for Nick Harper and Jason David.  But given the reality that corners are less critical in the Tampa Two defense, they shouldn't burn up first-day picks in this regard, unless they can get a guy who is tailor-made for the scheme.

3.  Running back:  They need a replacement for Dominic Rhodes.

4.  Defensive tackle:  Montae Reagor is gone, and Corey Simon likely will be.

5.  Guard:  Behind starters Jake Scott and Ryan Lilja, the talent is below average.
