2007 TRAINING CAMP REPORTS

MIAMI DOLPHINS

POSTED 11:15 p.m. EDT, August 5, 2007

Here are some notes from Saturday's practice.

K Jay Feely killed some time fielding punts and catching passes.

The first depth chart comes out on Monday.

Meet David Sutton.  (And it might be a good idea to remember his name.)

Even if he is reinstated, RB Ricky Williams won't play again for the Dolphins.

Is Ted Ginn the real deal?

CB Jason Allen is consistently getting burned in practice.

DE Vonnie Holliday was the team's No. 1 offseason in-house priority.

LB Robert McCune and G Rex Hadnot mixed it up one play into morning drills, and the coaching staff let them roll around a bit (before turning the hose on them).

WR Az Hakim didn't practice on Thursday morning.

Rookie WR David Sutton made a great catch on Wednesday.

Zach Thomas tried a couple of drop kicks on Wednesday, and shouldn't have.

From the "Maybe We Should Start Calling Him 'R.B.' File," RB Ronnie Brown has taken nearly every snap with the first team during the first week of camp.

QB Trent Green is trying to learn a new language in Miami.

CB Travis Daniels seems to be completely healed from a bone spur.

Rookie DT Rodrique Wright is the fastest defensive lineman on the team, which is sort of like being the smartest guy in a room full of idiots.

S Yeremiah Bell got into a scuffle on Wednesday with WR Derek Hagan.

L.J. Shelton and Anthony Alabi are battling for the starting right tackle spot.

With Andre' Goodman still recovering from a shoulder injury, Travis Daniels could reclaim the starting spot at left cornerback.

LB Channing Crowder, on the Nicktator:  "Saban is more of a cuss-you-out guy.  You mess up once, get cussed out and it kind of takes your spirits away."

RB Ronnie Brown lost four pounds during practice on Monday.  (DT Keith Traylor found it.)

Speaking of Traylor, he says he wouldn't have been back with the Fins if Nick Saban hadn't left.

DE Jason Taylor won't say anything bad about Saban.

Trent Green and John Beck threw plenty of picks on Monday.

K Jay Feely was a mixed bag in kicking drills on Monday.

QB John Beck and WR Kerry Reed might soon need to get a room.

DE Matt Roth denies saying that the Nicktator is a "jerk."  (Apparently, the reporter didn't realize that Roth had actually said "f--king asshole.")

The hits kept coming during Sunday's first full-pads practice.

POSTED 2:14 p.m. EDT, July 28, 2007

As we'd heard, a deal between the Fins and the agent for WR Ted Ginn had been done earlier in the week, but the agent backed out.

Ginn is expected to contribute as a kick returner while he develops as a receiver.

Five things to watch in training camp include the Oklahoma drill.

The Fins claimed former Raiders TE Courtney Anderson off of waivers.

There are plenty of question swirling around the Fins.

QB John Beck and WR Kerry Reed are developing some chemistry.  (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

The shadow of the Nicktator remains.

It looks like QB Cleo Lemon is No. 2 for now, ahead of John Beck.

To no surprise, LB Joey Porter is with the first-team defense.
