ProFootballTalk.com's Top 25 In 25
No. 17 Tim Brown. Though he might often be overlooked when compiling a list of the best pass-catchers from the past quarter century, Tim Brown actually is one of the best of all time. He's third on the list of career receptions, and second on the list of career receiving yards. Through 17 NFL seasons, Brown gradually developed into a pillar of consistency, generating at one point nine straight years with more than 1,000 yards receiving. He was the rare Heisman winner made good, a stellar return man from Notre Dame who landed with the Raiders in 1988 and stayed for 16 seasons, finishing up with a final year in Tampa. His spot in the Hall of Fame should be a first-ballot no-brainer. Until he's eligible, he'll have to settle for being known as the 17th best player of the past 25 years in our book. Click here for No. 16.
