2007 TRAINING CAMP REPORTS

BALTIMORE RAVENS

POSTED 11:18 p.m.EDT, August 4, 2007

The Ravens held most of their defensive starters out of a full-squad scrimmage with the Redskins.

OT Adam Terry is learning the right side, to the spot previously held by Tony Pashos.

But Terry spent a lot of time on his tush on Saturday.

OT Jared Gaither looks to have been a great investment with a supplemental fifth-round pick.

Gaither and DE Terrell Suggs continue to mix it up on the field.

Coach Brian Billick wasn't happy with the effort at practice on Friday.

LT Jonathan Ogden is still on the PUP list.

LB Ray Lewis intends to play past 2008, the final year of his current deal.

The humidity heated things up for the Ravens on Thursday.

K Rhys Lloyd is hanging out with Babu Bhatt.

If the running backs can't pick up the blitz, QB Steve McNair won't survive.

First-round OL Ben Grubbs is questionable for Saturday's scrimmage against the Redskins with a sprained knee.

Fourth-round LB Antwan Barnes was carted off on Wednesday with an ankle injury.

WR Yamon Figurs can run really fast.

Rookie OT Jared Gaither is getting plenty of praise from his teammates.

WR Derrick Mason's post-playoff-loss rant hasn't been forgotten.

QB Troy Smith struggled on Tuesday in 11-on-11 drills.

LB Dan Cody could miss the full season with a knee injury, and he might need microfracture surgery.

For the first time in six years, every draft pick was signed before camp opened.

The Ravens' last camp that started uneventfully resulted in season-ending injuries to Jamal Lewis and Leon Searcy.

LT Jonathan Ogden will be on the PUP list for an indefinite period.

Rookie Marshal Yanda took Ogden's place with the ones.

Supplemental fifth-rounder Jared Gaither played left tackle with the second team, and at one point gave Terrell Suggs a solid pop.

LB Dan Cody ended up on the PUP list, too.

Asked whether he misses Buffalo, RB Willis McGahee said, "Huh?"

Here's a good position-by-position look at the team.

Despite plenty of optimism, there are some holes in the roster.

The Ravens' official web site has video of Brian Billick's comments after practice.  (Unfortunately, he didn't say "sh-t," "f--k," or "slapd-ck.")

News flasher -- Kyle Boller threw an interception.
