2007 TRAINING CAMP REPORTS
WASHINGTON REDSKINS
POSTED 1:15 p.m. EDT, August 5, 2007
QB Jason Campbell didn't get a single rep in 11-on-11 drills with the Ravens on Saturday, but participated in 7-on-7's.
An MRI on the knee of RB Clinton Portis showed only tendonitis.
More than 25,000 fans attended the Ravens-Redskins scrimmage.
Either QB Casey Bramlet or QB Jordan Palmer, a sixth-round draft pick, could be released this week.
The 'Skins have sunday off, and will get back to work on Monday.
David Elfin of the Washington Times observes that the team "still ha[s] plenty of work to do." (Wow. After only a week of training camp practices, who would have thunk it?)
The temperatures on the field for the scrimmage were measured as high as 141 degrees.
S LaRon Landry got some time on the field with S Sean Taylor on Saturday.
LB London Fletcher Baker Robbins Oppenheim and Taft was geeked up for Saturday's debut.
LG Todd Wade lost 17 pounds on Wednesday and 12 pounds on Thursday.

Cutting is aggravating the tendonitis of RB Clinton Portis.
QB Jason Campbell caught a pass from RB Ladell Betts.
S LaRon Landry is making plays.
Stephon Heyer is looking good at left tackle in place of Chris Samuels.
DE Andre Carter needs to step it up in year two of his time in D.C.

S LaRon Landry missed both practices on Monday, and apparently has not yet signed his contract.
Much-hyped offensive guru Al Saunders says that things will get better in 2007. (Can they really get worse?)
S Pierson Prioleau was supposedly going to be the 2006 opening day starter in front of Adam Archuleta, but Prioleau's ACL popped on the opening kickoff of the first game.
CB Shawn Springs thinks that CB Carlos Rogers is going to have a big year.
Maybe Casely Bramlet really does have a shot at winning a roster spot over Todd Collins and Jordan Palmer.
G Randy Thomas (knee) hasn't practiced and received a cortisone shot.
WR Brandon Lloyd, a bust in 2006, has added eight pounds of muscle.
FB Mike Sellers showed up with a two-toned beard, dyed blonde at the bottom. (It apparently was intentional, unless he went bobbing for apples in a vat of hydrogen peroxide.)
WR Brandon Lloyd says that his new haircut is "European." (What's next? A fur and a purse?)
It's been eight years since the quarterback who began the season as the starter finished it as the starter.
