DEs Antwan Odom and Travis LaBoy are both healthy and likely to split time in the spot opposite Kyle Vanden Bosch.

Suspended CB Pacman Jones is expected to make his pro wrestling debut Thursday.

Cortland Finnegan is trying to replace Pacman on punt returns.

C Kevin Mawae says QB Vince Young is "playing a lot easier now and with a lot more confidence than this time last year."

The coaches want Young to work on recognizing defenses at the line of scrimmage, but they've never tried to change his unusual throwing motion.

A handful of Titans made a quick trip to Canton to see former Titan Bruce Matthews inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Coach Jeff Fisher wants the players to get used to practicing in the heat in preparation for their Week 1 game at Jacksonville.

DE Simeon Rice visited Friday, but there were no contract discussions.

G Benji Olson was excused from practice so he could attend the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction of former Titans teammate Bruce Matthews.

Former Titans RB Eddie George says his best years were when Matthews played center.

Coach Jeff Fisher says of training camp so far, "Overall I am pleased."

Fisher played with Matthews at USC and coached him in his final seven NFL seasons.

Reflecting on last year's defense, DE Kyle Vanden Bosch says, "We just weren't good enough. We didn't hold up our end of the deal. If we were top 10 or even middle of the pack on defense, we would've been in the playoffs."

Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz says of Vanden Bosch, "I have never seen any player go with the same intensity he does."

After a practice this morning, the players will be off until Monday.

Coach Jeff Fisher said of QB Vince Young punching S Donnie Nickey, "My preference is not to see my quarterback throwing punches with his throwing hand."

Backup QBs Kerry Collins and Tim Rattay use their combined 19 seasons of experience to give Young tips.

General Manager Mike Reinfeldt will keep an eye on other teams' cuts as he looks to add some veteran talent at wide receiver and defensive end.

The Titans also say they remain interested in DE Simeon Rice.

G Benji Olsen is seeing a specialist about his lower back.

RB LenDale White was held out of contact drills because of a "very sore" shoulder.

White's absence gave RBs Quinton Ganther and Dontrell Moore extra practice reps.

Coach Jeff Fisher is pleased with the early returns on rookie Michael Griffin's move from college safety to pro cornerback.

Of RB LenDale White, Fisher said, "He is doing fine. He’s coming along like the rest of his teammates. No issues."

When DE Kyle Vanden Bosch knocked White to the ground during Sunday's practice, a brief skirmish broke out.

Special teams coach Alan Lowry wants rookie RB Chris Henry to learn to become a punt gunner.
